After years of being told it was impossible to maintain a thriving career based in Atlanta, GA., Yolonda Frederick-Thompson has broken all the rules! Her work keeps her globe-hopping all over the U.S., Europe, South America, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Caribbean. She remains a creative force in entertainment since launching Yolonda’s Face Value, Inc., a make-up and beauty imaging business in 1998. Yolonda first fell in love with makeup while attending Central Methodist University where she earned her BA in Communications and Theater. She went on to refine her craft through on-going education with industry giant, Aveda while working as a Senior Master Make-up Artist and Show Team member with the highly celebrated Van Michael Salons for more than 7 years. She set the tone for her burgeoning freelance career by breaking onto the scene as the Key Makeup Artist for Grammy Award winning trio TLC!

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT AND PROJECTS:
Most recently, Yolonda has created and developed a cutting-edge Mobile Makeup Phone Cover called “Glam.Or Ring”. This phone cover will revolutionize the way we carry our cosmetics! The “Glam.Or.Ring” phone cover contains Yolonda’s customized YFT brand makeup palette for various skin-tones while doubling as a innovative Iphone cover. It’s no surprise that she has a penchant for merging technology with art as she has also explored enhanced computer graphics that create bold new designs and mapping strategies for body painting, special effects and character resemblance.
Passionately committed to her art and to her community, Yolonda has given her support to the “Give Back A Smile” Foundation of The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry for survivors of domestic violence through pro-bono make-up training and consulting for foundation clients. Yolonda has recently joined forces with the “Why Not You” foundation for “Makeover Monday”. In conjunction with Ciara and Revlon, this initiative is designed to pamper, inspire and share messages of empowerment to young patients at Seattle Children’s Hospital. Yolonda is also founder and executive producer of the “Living Art” Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation awareness and fundraising event. Fusing an eclectic blend of fashion-driven body painting, music, art and culture, Yolonda’s list of celebrity supporters has included Usher and TLC’s T-Boz. Pernod Ricard’s Martell brand has recognized her work with “Living Art” as a part of its “Rise Above” campaign.
